Meet Daniel House, one of the nicest tree delivery truck drivers you could ever come across.
Daniel’s genuine, relaxed nature clearly comes across in his job and how he puts 150% effort into ensuring all the ETT trees he delivers, throughout his day, are delivered in prime condition with top service.
Daniel has only been doing the job for the past three years and believes going “that extra mile” for all ETT customers (big or small) is just part of the service.
When asked what the most enjoyable part of the job was, Daniel said: “I just love all of it.”
Daniel’s day starts at 7am at ETT’s nursery in Hoddles Creek where he picks up the semi-trailer packed with trees with deliveries ranging in sizes from 5 kilograms to 6 tonnes.
“I’m going somewhere different each day and love building customer-relations which all of ETT clients,” Daniel said.
“The biggest trick is to make sure that the trees arrive on site with no broken branches with the biggest killer being powerlines for inner city jobs – as every street has power poles and legally we cannot work under the lines restricting the crane use.”
By the end of Daniel’s day, he has completed at least seven deliveries which involves delivering the trees to a position of the site that suits the client.
“I believe it is important to go that extra mile to ensure the customer is happy,” he said.
“Every job is different and has its different challenges but that’s what makes it so enjoyable. “
“The customer is getting a first-rate quality tree so they deserve, and should expect a first-rate service.”
And they certainly get that from Daniel!
